As we venture further into the realm of SEO in 2024, it’s almost comical how some digital marketers do not use Tier 3 backlinks in their search engine optimization strategy.

Although there is no denying the evolution of SEO, this is not always the case with marketing tactics, particularly when it comes to backlinks.

It’s an open secret in the industry that backlinks serve as crucial trust indicators for search engines, yet their full capacity is often underestimated, especially when it comes to Tier 3 backlinks.

In our tier 3 backlinks guide, we decode the tiered link-building strategy, and explain the importance of tier 3s and solutions on how to implement this easily in 2024.

What Are Tier 3 Backlinks?

Tier 3 backlinks are primarily used to boost the strength and credibility of Tier 2 backlinks.

Tier 3’s are inbound links to pass more page rank and link juice to your second layer backlinks.

In the intricate world of search engine optimization (SEO), backlinks play a crucial role.

Third-tier links are considered votes of confidence, relevance, and authority, which search engines use as a key ranking factor.

By increasing the authority of Tier 2, the idea is to indirectly bolster the ranking power of your main site (via Tier 1 backlinks) and this is why tier three links are vital to powering up your backlink profile.

Decoding the Backlink Hierarchy

The concept of tiered backlinking isn’t a complex puzzle, but it seems to mystify a significant portion of the marketing world.

The basics of link building in 2024 are:

  • Tier 1 backlinks are those high-quality, direct links to your site. They are fundamental, yet they represent only the beginning of a much deeper strategy.
  • Tier 2 backlinks, which support and strengthen Tier 1. Interestingly, this is where many marketers stop, failing to realize the latent power of Tier 3 backlinks.
  • Tier 3 backlinks are the links that, though often ignored, work tirelessly in the background to elevate the authority of Tier 2 links, indirectly but significantly boosting the main site’s ranking.

Tier 3 backlinks are the secret sauce to higher visibility in search engines.

The Strategic Importance of Tier 3 Backlinks

When we talk about the advantages of Tier 3 backlinks, we’re discussing a game-changer in SEO.

These backlinks are known to significantly elevate the authority of Tier 2 links.

The indirect leverage they provide to your main site’s ranking is a strategy that, regrettably, not everyone has caught onto.

If the goal is to enhance online visibility, it’s peculiar and somewhat humorous that some marketers choose to ignore the impact of Tier 3 backlinks.

Their integration into a broader SEO strategy seems obvious to those who are genuinely committed to excelling in the digital marketing arena.

Here are 3 reasons why Tier 3 backlinks are important for SEO in 2024:

  • Boosting Link Authority: Elevate the power and credibility of Tier 2 backlinks.
  • Enhanced Page Rank: Indirectly improve your main site’s SEO performance.
  • Greater Online Visibility: Achieve higher visibility in search results.

Gain a Competitive Edge with Tier 3 Backlinks

For those who are in step with the times, 2024 is shaping up to be the year where Tier 3 backlinks come into their own.

As SEO strategies evolve, clinging to outdated tactics is quaint, if not detrimental.

Tier 3 backlinks offer a clear competitive advantage.

It’s intriguing to watch some marketers hesitate to embrace these links, especially when they synergize so well with overall marketing strategies.

  • Tier 3 backlinks help you align with modern SEO trends and stay ahead in the evolving SEO landscape.
  • Tier 3 backlinks help you gain a competitive edge to outrank competitors by leveraging advanced strategies.
  • Tier 3 backlinks help you enhance your overall marketing and integrate into broader digital marketing tactics.

Popular Questions

Are Tier 3 backlinks really necessary for SEO in 2024?

If you’re serious about SEO, incorporating Tier 3 backlinks isn’t just a suggestion; it’s a necessity.

Ignoring them is like leaving money on the table.

How do Tier 3 backlinks affect page rank?

Tier 3 backlinks have an indirect yet powerful effect on page rank.

They strengthen Tier 2 links, which in turn boost Tier 1 links and your main site’s authority.

It’s an elegant, effective mechanism.

Isn't focusing on Tier 1 and Tier 2 backlinks enough?

While Tier 1 and Tier 2 are important, stopping there is like running half a race.

Tier 3 backlinks complete the circuit, supercharging your overall link-building strategy.

Can Tier 3 backlinks really make a difference in competitive markets?

In competitive markets, Tier 3 backlinks can be the deciding factor.

They provide that extra layer of authority and trust that can set your site apart in a crowded field.

Tier 3 Backlink Examples?

Here are examples of Tier 3 backlinks:

  • Blog comment links
  • Forum backlinks
  • Low-quality article directory links
  • Profile links
  • Lower-quality web 2.0 backlinks
  • Mass-marketed PBN backlinks
  • Press release backlinks
  • GSA
  • RankerX
  • Fiverr dofollow backlinks

Tier 3 backlinks are known in the SEO industry as throwing the “kitchen sink” at it.

Conclusion

It’s high time that the world of digital marketing wakes up to the power of Tier 3 backlinks.

It’s 2024, and the importance of these backlinks in a comprehensive SEO strategy is clearer than ever.

With webmasters now able to scale topical authority with the use of AI, the power of backlinks as the differentiating factor has become more evident than ever.

Incorporating Tier 3 backlinks is essential for your 2024 SEO strategy and important to achieving top search engine rankings.

For those who are genuinely interested in maximizing their SEO performance, integrating Tier 3 backlinks is a no-brainer.

The question is not whether to use them, but rather, can you afford not to?

In the world of AI, Google is looking to automate as much algorithmically as possible.

So surely there are no more Manual Action Unnatural Links Penalties being sent to website owners’ Google Search Console?

Well, you could not be more incorrect, as Google is still blasting out these manual action penalties for inbound, unnatural links.

If you have been hit, then buckle up because it is not a quick fix, and we will explain the best practices to recover.

What is a Google Unnatural Links Penalty?

The Google search engine applies the Unnatural Links Penalty to a website as a result of the website having unnatural or low-quality links pointing to it.

These links are often referred to as “bad” or “toxic” links.

Google will flag your site if it continuously receives backlinks from known link farms or problematic domains.

What Happens After a Google Unnatural Links Penalty?

On average, 3-5 days after receiving a message in the Google Search Console, you receive a manual action penalty, and the traffic drops suddenly by around 95%.

URLs get delisted, or rankings drop from positions 1-3 to 70–80 or even lower.

When using the site: search operator will return 0 URLs or an empty result.

A reconsideration request is needed to be implemented with the disavow file submitted.

How Long Does It Take to Recover from a Google Unnatural Links Penalty?

On average, it takes approximately 10–12 months to recover from a Google Unnatural Links Penalty.

The length of time to recover can vary massively depending on who submits the reconsideration requests.

We strongly advise using a backlink audit expert who understands the process of trying to revoke your manual action backlink penalty.

A specialist link audit company can speed up the process of website recovery and have much higher success rates in lifting the sitewide penalty.

No timeframes can be guaranteed because you are in the hands of Google to respond.

Best Practice to Remove a Google Unnatural Links Penalty?

Here are the steps needed to recover from a Google Unnatural Links Penalty:

  1. Extract all links from your backlink profile using Link Research Tools, Google Search Console Links (Latest Link), Majestic SEO, AhRefs, and Semrush Backlink Audit Tool
  2. Perform a comprehensive backlink audit to highlight all toxic links
  3. Outreach to all the list of problematic domains to try and get the hyperlinks removed naturally
  4. Submit the outreach spreadsheet to Google to show the attempt to remove the backlinks, tagging all Link Detox Rules (explaining the reasoning for the disavowed links)
  5. Upload the full disavow file to Google Search Console
  6. Submit a reconsideration request

The reconsideration request is an attempt to have your website’s penalty reviewed and lifted. In the request, you should explain your actions to address the penalty.

Note: It might take 3-4 attempts to revoke the penalty and a backlink audit expert will speak directly to a Google employee to work through any links that need addressing (which might have been missed).

Why is Backlink Doctor the Best Google Unnatural Links Penalty Recovery Expert?

Backlink Doctor is the best Google Unnatural Links Penalty Recovery Expert, as they live and breathe this more than anyone else in the industry.

A group of highly skilled SEO professionals founded Backlink Doctor, which is solely dedicated to website recovery.

The godfather of disavows, Rick Lomas, has fully trained the Backlink Doctor team to carry out tasks to his high standards.

Backlink Doctor has the largest account in Link Research Tools of anyone else in the world, so more data is needed to understand what Google is looking at.

Why use Backlink Doctor as your backlink audit company?

The advantages of using Backlink Doctor for disavows and backlink audits are:

  • The best success rate at recovering from a Manual Action link penalty
  • The fastest times to help recover from a sitewide penalty
  • Specialists with access to the largest backlink data source
  • Familiarity with Google Re-Submission Process and Strategy
  • Ability to fast-track submitting reviews multiple times for having penalty revoked

There are many reasons why Backlink Doctor is the best Google disavow service and the best at assisting in recovering from unnatural inbound links penalties in Google Search Console.

Will My Website Fully Recover If The Link Penalty is Revoked?

If we get your link penalty revoked, there might still be other issues wrong with your website that need addressing, like:

  • Content Quality
  • Internal Linking
  • Stop buying spammy links (look for a vendor who understands low toxicity and high trust, instead of obsessing over DR)
  • EEAT (can you tick all the boxes with contact details on the site and policies to look trusted?)

SEO is a long-term game and any tactics that give you quick wins sometimes will come back to bite you further down the line.

What Does A Manual Action Link Penalty Look Like?

In Google Search Console you get a message saying similar to this:

  • Main Domain Property (Stating Pages with the URL pattern: sub. example. com/)
  • Main Domain https Property (Stating Pages with the URL pattern: sub. example. com/)
  • Sub-Domain property (Affects all pages)
  • https Subdomain Property (Affects all pages)

Here is an image showing the Unnatural Inbound Links Penalty in the Google Search Console.

Unnatural Inbound Links Penalty in Google Search Console

Popular Questions

Can I submit a disavow file and reconsideration request myself?

The success rate of personally submitting a reconsideration request on Google is almost zero.

If you were building a house, you would employ:

  • a bricklayer to build your wall
  • a roofer to install your roof
  • a plumber to install your water supply

The same applies to getting a Manual Action link penalty revoked and just hire the expert who deal with this on a daily basis.

Does Google consider these as backlinks?

There is a huge misconception in the SEO industry that Google ignores toxic links, or that negative SEO would be easy.

Well, the truth is that negative SEO is easy to implement because Google does not do a good job of ignoring some type of links.

Buying 10,000 spammy web2 backlinks as part of a negative SEO attack is easy for Google to detect and they do ignore these types of backlinks.

But the paid guest post link farms in bad link neighborhoods with exact match anchor text are the backlinks that cause the most problems and need addressing.

Google has created the disavow file for your benefit, so use it to remove any spammy or problematic backlinks pointing to your website.

What platform do we need to disavow toxic backlinks?

The platforms you need to disavow toxic backlinks are:

  • Link Research Tools
  • Google Search Console (Latest Links)
  • Majestic SEO
  • Ahrefs Site Explorer
  • Semrush Backlink Audit Tool

If any backlink audit specialist is not using all these platforms, you should use another supplier.

Solely using Semrush or AhRefs for disavows is bad practice and we strongly recommend simulating data from all fve platforms listed.

What Happens After a Reconsideration Request?

Google will respond with a message in the search console saying “Reconsideration request processed”.

The standard reply is, “In response to your reconsideration request, Google has reviewed your site for violations of Google Webmaster Guidelines. Based on this review, some of the manual actions on your site have been adjusted or revoked. You can see what manual actions are applied to your site by checking the Manual Action Viewer in the Search Console.”

A Re-Submission Process and Strategy can be applied to resubmit but if you submit reviews multiple times it takes more time for Google to respond as the number of submissions increases.

Summary

Google only refreshes data of its algorithms once every few months, and your penalized site won’t recover until a data refresh determines that the site has taken the precautionary steps.

An unnatural links penalty is applied to websites that violate Google quality guidelines.

After recovering from a backlink penalty, stop purchasing cheap blog comments from low-quality sites on Fiverr or dubious backlinks from spammy link vendors.

Moving forward, look to only acquire quality contextual links from low-toxic and high-trust websites.

Get yourself a backlink rejuvenation pack to kickstart your road to recovery with an influx of new, fresh, trusted editorial backlinks.

When looking for the best, most powerful backlinks for your website, it’s crucial you take into account the correct parameters before jumping in.

At the end of the day, backlinks are still one of, if not the most important ranking factor for websites in Google’s eyes, so getting your link building campaign right is of massive importance.

Not only that, with Google’s latest algorithm changes, finding the strongest links for your site is more important than ever.

In this article, we’ll discuss the many different factors to consider when acquiring new links, as well as what to look out for in 2024.

What Makes a Link Powerful?

A powerful backlink in 2024 consists of several different factors as a result of Google’s ever-changing algorithm.

Here are the main factors that make a backlink powerful:

Dofollow

To start things off, it’s important to establish that for any link to pass all of its power through to your site, it must be a dofollow link.

This is an attribution that enables the power of the link to pass through to your site, instructing Google’s spiders to “follow” the link through to your site.

In contrast, a nofollow link instructs the opposite and therefore passes significantly less power.

That’s not to say a nofollow link is inherently bad; however, your links from powerful sites should mostly be dofollow if possible.

Strong Domain Rank (DR)

A link from a strong domain is the pillar of any good link, as these links that are powerful on a domain level generally are well-established websites with a strong backlink profile, and capable of having new links built to them to improve your backlink.

This metric, often described as a strong DR (domain rating), is something more and more marketers are starting to take into account when looking to build backlinks to their sites.

Strong domain sites are generally harder to acquire backlinks from due to their increased value, but are worth the extra time, effort and sometimes money to acquire.

Additionally, whilst this isn’t always the case, strong domains are generally websites that have aged and have a level of trust to begin with, which further increases their value as a backlink.

DR stands for domain rating by ahrefs and other similar metrics are DA (domain authority) by Moz. Page level metrics are UR (URL rating by ahrefs) and PA (page authority by Moz).

Strong Page Rank (PR)

The strength of the actual page you’re acquiring the link from matters a great deal, too.

Many SEOs solely focus on the domain rating (DR) of the prospect site, and forget to consider the power of the page (PR) as well.

The page strength (or page rank) is extremely important, as having a page with power linking back to your website means that the power from that specific page is being passed through.

Whilst having a strong domain is an excellent foundation, if the URL you receive a link from doesn’t have any links pointing to it, it’s likely that page will actually be very weak.

Therefore, finding pages with pre-existing power, or building that power yourself is the key to ensuring your links are from strong, high authority pages, and pass even more of the link juice through to your website.

Traffic

The next factor to analyse when it comes to acquiring new links is traffic.

Contrary to what some may believe, traffic is a seriously important ranking factor, and having a link from a site that receives genuine, authentic traffic for it’s chosen keywords is an excellent way to ensure your backlinks are the best they can be.

It’s very important you analyse the traffic signals going to site you’re interested in getting a link from, as sometimes this can be the difference between a link that moves the needle and a link that does not.

Additionally, if you can find a site where a specific page you want a link from is receiving a lot of that traffic, even better!

Having a link from a page that receives traffic, especially if relevant to your industry, means that not only is the link more powerful, but real people interested in your products or services may actually click through to your link. Win win!

Trust

That brings us onto trust.

So regardless how powerful a site may seem, or how much traffic it seems to receive, if that power or traffic has been manipulated then it could be that the links you’ve acquired may not be trustworthy in Google’s eyes.

You may be wondering “How do I measure trust?”, and the answer is simple.

Trust can be determined by analyzing a number of factors, some of which are technical and some requiring analysis based on common sense. Here are several ways you can determine trust:

  • How well the website is ranking for its keyphrases
  • The amount of traffic the site receives (and whether that traffic looks legitimate!)
  • The legitimacy and relevancy of the backlinks pointing back to that particular site
  • How the site appears (does it look spammy?)
  • The sites history (was it previously used as a PBN?)
  • The age of the website
  • Existing content on the website (are there many sponsored posts?)

and more.

Analysing these factors is often over-looked by many, and can land website owners in getting links that seem good on the surface, but may be not seen so favourably in the eyes of Google.

Low Toxicity

Ensuring a link is low in toxicity is another factor worth considering, and this ties in with trust above.

Toxicity, is a metric that determines how dangerous or spammy a website is based off various factors such as backlink history, domain quality, page quality and more.

Link Research Tools is an excellent and reliable way to analyse this, as their tool is able to grade sites with a DTOXRISK score (essentially a measure of the site’s toxicity).

In taking the time to analyse sites within Link Research Tools (LRC), you can ensure the links you’re acquiring are largely risk-free in the eyes of Google, and much more likely to have a positive effect on your rankings in the SERPs.

Link Position

And finally, the position of your link on the page is an often over-looked factor when it comes to ensuring your backlinks are as powerful as they can be.

As we know, Google crawls pages from the top down. But with so much of the internet to crawl and more and more pages being published every day, Google is having a hard time working through the entirety of each page.

As a result Google’s spiders will work through sections of a page, starting from the top and working it’s way down efficiently to use as little resources as it can.

What this means for link builders is that if you request your link to be positioned higher up the page, that section is more likely to be indexed by Google, and in turn more likely to pass the power through to your site.

It’s one of those if you know you know tips, but can certainly work extremely well when implemented across your link building campaign.

How Do You Build Powerful Backlinks?

With so many different techniques out there, it’s safe to say there’s no set way to build powerful backlinks.

One thing we would say is that if you’re not an experienced SEO, or haven’t had experience building backlinks for your site before, it’s always best to outsource to an expert to avoid wasting money and having a detrimental effect on your website’s rankings in the search engine results pages.

Agencies such as Searcharoo are known to be brilliant at offer a done-for-you link building service, in fact we’ve worked with them in the past and noticed some excellent results from their niche-specific packages.

What Types of Powerful Links Can I Build?

As of 2024, we believe that once all necessary checks have been carried out, these are the best types of powerful links to build:

What Are The Weakest Backlinks in 2024?

There are also several backlink types that seem to have little to no value in Google’s current algorithm. These include:

  • Nofollow links
  • Not incontent links (sidebar & footer)
  • Blog comments
  • Fiverr Gigs
  • Sponsored links
  • Irrelevant links
  • Links on orphan pages

Although the list above shows weaker types of backlinks – we do recommend diversity in the backlink profile and we call these pillow links or foundational links.

What are top tier backlinks?

Top-tier backlinks are dofollow, relevant, contextual hyperlinks on high-DR authoritative websites.

Tier 1 backlinks point back to your website and carry significant weight in search engine algorithms.

If the link is placed on a web page without internal links (orphan page), we strongly recommend powering these web pages up with powerful tier 2 backlinks.

Building top tier backlinking strategies is crucial to enhancing rankings in Google SERP.

Can you buy quality backlinks?

You can buy quality backlinks from specialized link-building companies or SEO agencies.

Always be warned about purchasing backlinks from cheap marketplace link sellers or private link sellers because every backlink carries some toxicity.

All links should be from a legitimate website in a good and reputable link neighborhood.

Summary

So to summarise, carrying out an in-depth analysis of the quality of backlink you’re acquiring before jumping in and getting in can be the difference between time well spent, and time wasted.

Links are still as powerful as ever, but if you’re lazy in your link acquisition you may find yourself building links that actually end up doing more harm than good.

We wish you the best of luck with your link-building campaigns and hope our guide to the most valuable type of backlink in SEO contributes to the domain authority of a website and increases its search engine rankings.

One of the best digital marketing strategies for 2024 is leveraging parasite SEO.

Before we get started here, we are not talking about when a site gets hacked for SEO purposes. The placements on third-party websites do not harm the hosted website or at any expense to its host (in fact, some say it benefits the hosted parasite website because it attracts more organic traffic).

Parasite SEO works great because Google likes authoritative websites, and using high-authoritative domains makes it easier to rank higher in the search engine for your specific keywords.

Parasite SEO is also known as barnacle SEO because you’re attaching your content to higher-ranking entities to try and achieve a search monopoly.

This is an exceptional opportunity to harness the power of third-party websites to drive traffic, commissions, and page rank for your brand.

The best parasite SEO packages write entity-stacked content with off-page behavioral signals and tier-two backlinks.

Our Parasite SEO guide explains what it is, why it is useful, how it works, and the best tips to leverage traffic for desired topics.

What is Parasite SEO?

Parasite SEO is creating content on third-party websites to rank highly in Google for target keywords.

The goal is to get exposure from third-party, external, high-authority websites to rank higher in search engines for certain keywords.

Some SEOs ask to build quality do-follow backlinks to their own website, which is known as Barnacle SEO.

Why is it called Parasite SEO?

It is called parasite SEO because the content produced lives on a different website for the customers.

A parasite is an organism that lives on or in a host and gets its food from or at the expense of its host.

Now I hate the name “Parasite SEO” because I think these terms are better names:

  • Barnacle SEO
  • Piggyback SEO
  • Authority Hijacking
  • Third-Party SEO
  • Symbiotic SEO
  • Coattail SEO
  • Monopolizing SEO

A parasite lives at the expense of its host and with the parasite SEO strategy this is not the case, as we are not talking about black hat hacking techniques.

Google To Rename “Parasite SEO” In Near Future

Danny Sullivan, the Google Search Liaison, wrote on X, “We don’t use that term internally. I expect you will see us assign a term to this type of activity in the near future, along with further guidance.”

Glenn Gabe joked on twitter and said – I’m sure it will be something super-generic like “Hosted Third-Party Content Largely Independent of Main Site Purpose”. You know, because that just rolls off your tongue…

What is the Parasite SEO Strategy?

The parasite SEO strategy is used by digital marketers and search engine optimisation specialists to leverage the domain authority or established websites online.

The strategy has been likened to riding on the coattails of giants, using their strength and reputation to boost your visibility.

The “Parasite SEO Strategy” is not hacking websites at the expense of a host and is building relationships where the blog owner is happy for you to contribute high-quality content for their users to read (it is a win-win agreement between content writer and website owner).

Does Parasite SEO Work?

Parasite SEO is working amazingly well in the current search results.

Many high-level SEOs are saying “Parasite SEO is their secret weapon for growth in 2024”.

Parasite SEO leverages higher rankings and generates traffic quickly for competitive search terms.

Does Parasite SEO Work for ecommerce?

Parasite SEO for ecommerce works amazing as a link-building technique where you create content on external high-authority websites and platforms.

The goal of Parasite SEO for e-commerce is to get high rankings and traffic from third-party parasite sites while also building quality backlinks to your website.

Parasite SEO for ecommerce was seen to return high ROI as a marketing strategy.

How Much Does Parasite SEO Cost?

Here are the Parasite SEO Pricing Packages:

  • $1950: Parasite SEO Placement + Two Tier 2 Backlinks
  • $2450: Parasite SEO Placement + Five Tier 2 Backlinks
  • $3250: Parasite SEO Placement + Ten Tier 2 Backlinks

The prices are much cheaper for direct placements in high-DR publications, but the whole point of PARASITE SEO is ranking the web pages, which requires SEO-optimized content, Tier 2 backlinks, and engagement signals.

The parasite SEO costs were recently voted the “Best SEO Strategy for ROI” as when customers can rank and generate traffic instantly the return on investment is amazing when ranking high CPC keywords.

A backlink is defined as an inbound link with an Ahrefs Domain Rating above DR30.

Only do-follow backlinks were counted in this study.

How many backlinks does a website need to rank on the first page of the Google search results?

From our studies, the average number of backlinks a website needed to rank on the first page of the Google search results was 205.

The average of 204 backlinks to rank in the top 10 of Google SERP is based on UK search results.

How many backlinks does a website need to rank in the top 3 of Google search results?

From our studies, the average number of backlinks a website needed to rank in the top 3 positions of the Google search results was 528.

The average of 528 backlinks to rank in the top 3 of Google SERP is based on UK search results.

How many backlinks does a site have?

In order to know how many backlinks a site has you need to use one of the following tools:

  • Google Search Console – this is if you own the website
  • AhRefs – third party tool that crawls the internet to find all backlinks
  • Semrush – SEO tool to help provide website data
  • Link Research Tools – scrapes and scores all backlinks

Is 1000 backlinks good?

1000 backlinks to a website are above average.

It’s better to get 100 backlinks from 100 different referring domains than 1,000 links from the same website.

Our latest ranking case study showed it was more important to look at the number of RD’s linking to you as opposed to the quantity of backlinks.

Are too many backlinks bad?

Backlinks are an essential part of off-site SEO and help your website gain trust and power.

If blog owners are purchasing spammy backlinks using low-quality link-building strategies, this can cause sudden ranking drops.

Here are some examples where too many backlinks can be bad:

  • Having too many exact-match anchor text backlinks is bad
  • Having too many toxic backlinks can harm rankings
  • Having too many links from a bad-link neighborhood is bad
  • Having too many non-relevant links is bad

Earning powerful, relevant backlinks from web pages that get traffic is the key to success.

Does A Backlink’s Domain Rating and DA Matter?

Not all backlinks have the same value.

Third-party tools like Moz and Ahrefs have predicted the power of backlinks with DA (domain authority) and DR (domain rank).

Here are some details about the power of backlinks:

  • DR30 backlink provides good value
  • DR45 backlink provides very good value
  • DR60 backlink provides amazing value

The caveat to this is DR can be manipulated so always check the power, traffic, and relevance of backlinks you are looking to acquire.

Summary

A website should have 40 to 50 backlinks to the homepage to build trust.

Then 3-5 backlinks to each individual web page are needed to be competitive for SEO.

The PageRank scores of those backlinks are important because the higher their value, the fewer links are needed to boost overall rankings.

Some SEOs in the communities use the word “link juice” to describe page rank.

The average price for a backlink depends on a lot of factors.

As an investor in Searcharoo, Agency Backlinks, High Rise Links, and a few other link-building agencies we have data on over one million backlinks generated.

In our surveys, it was alarming how much the costs of backlinks have risen in the past 4 years.

Understanding key factors such as domain authority, relevance, niche and content quality is essential for successful backlinks.

Quality is more important than quantity when investing in backlinks to ensure better results.

Assessing link providers carefully and avoiding common pitfalls associated with low-quality links are crucial for success when buying backlinks.

In our link-building costs guide, we explain how much it is to acquire backlinks directly from blog owners in comparison to from a link building agency.

What is the Average Cost Of A Quality Backlink?

The average cost of a quality backlink is $195.

If you purchase the link directly from the website this would be around $173 whereas the average cost of a quality backlink directly from a link-building agency is $217.

The average prices fluctuate depending on the following factors:

  • DR (domain rating)
  • Content provided or not
  • Industry (more for gambling, CBD, and porn)
  • Previous relationships

If looking to acquire backlinks directly from website owners you need to consider the costs of tools, staff time, and overheads.

What is the Average Cost of a Tier Two Backlink?

The average cost of a tier 2 backlink directly from the website is $47.

The average cost of a tier 2 backlink directly from the Searcharoo link-building agency is $20.

Tier two backlinks are when you link build to web pages that point to your website.

Tier 2s make the backlinks to your website more authoritative and increase your domain authority.

The reason Searcharoo tier two backlinks are more competitive is due to bulk orders and existing relationships.

What is the Average Cost of a Niche Edit Backlink?

The average cost of a niche edit backlink directly from the website is $82.

The average cost of a niche edit backlink directly from a link-building company is $73.

Niche edits are inserting links into existing blog posts that are indexed in Google SERP.

Link-building companies are able to negotiate better rates by ordering the link insertions in bulk.

What is the Average Cost of a DR30 Guest Post Backlink?

The average cost of a DR30 guest post backlink directly from the website directly is $91.

The average cost of a DR30 guest post backlink directly from a link-building company is $164.

It is cheaper to outreach to niche relevant websites when purchasing links – but business owners need to consider the staff time and costs of the tools to decide whether an inhouse link building team is worthwhile.

What is the Average Cost of a DR45 Guest Post Backlink?

The average cost of a DR45 guest post backlink directly from the website directly is $157.

The average cost of a DR45 guest post backlink directly from a link-building company is $249.

If acquiring a lot of backlinks it makes commercial sense to build an outreach team to build the link velocity of your money sites.

What is the Average Cost of a DR60 Guest Post Backlink?

The average cost of a DR60 guest post backlink directly from the website directly is $193.

The average cost of a DR60 guest post backlink directly from a link-building company is $327.

You can expect the price of an average DR60 guest post link to be almost double the rates in the casino, CBD, porn, or gambling industries.

PR Link Building

The prices for PR Link Building are much more expensive due to PR agencies working with enterprise companies who want the exposure and reputation management from the articles (not just the link juice).

How Much Is An MSN Backlink?

The average cost of an MSN backlink is $4000 to $7000.

A PR Agency needs to provide a great-quality article and build a relationship to get the content shared on the MSN platform.

Some spammy link vendors try to sell MSN backlinks on Fiverr, but these have been proven to be removed or placed on subdomain web pages that do not pass the domain authority power.

MSN is a great backlink to secure, as is a DR92 score and domain traffic estimation of over 655M+.

Many SEOs claim an MSN backlink is worth over $10,000 because it helps increase organic ranking and Domain Authority (DA). High authority backlinks will increase your traffic by ranking higher in Google search results.

The additional benefit of an MSN backlink is that the website is Google-News-approved and drives more organic traffic.

One authority MSN backlink is better than 1000 regular backlinks.

Understanding Backlink Costs: Factors to Consider

In the realm of link building, various factors play a role in the cost of buying backlinks.

Proper evaluation of these factors is essential to ensure that you spend your resources wisely. After all, your website’s success in terms of search engine rankings, traffic, and revenue depends on it.

Four key factors that affect backlink costs are domain authority, relevance, niche, and content quality.

Grasping the significance of these factors will allow you to make informed decisions when acquiring backlinks, ensuring a higher return on investment and better long-term results.

Domain Authority and Relevance

Domain authority is a metric used by search engines to quantify the strength of a website’s domain. Relevance, on the other hand, refers to the degree to which a website is pertinent to a particular topic.

The existing domain authority of your website determines how many backlinks you need to build links effectively.

Newly established websites require more backlinks to augment their domain authority and online presence, while established websites with strong authority need fewer backlinks to rank higher.

The type of website you seek backlinks from also affects the cost, as site owners generally prefer to acquire links from websites with high organic traffic.

When evaluating a website for backlinks, it’s crucial to consider factors such as domain/page quality, design, DR/DA, page rating, traffic, and website structure, as these factors can impact search engine rankings.

Niche and Content Quality

The niche of a website also influences the cost of high-quality links. More competitive niches typically have higher prices. Content quality plays a significant role in backlink costs as well.

Websites that generate substantial web traffic are selective when it comes to the quality of the content. They search for content written by specialists and usually publish it along with an authentic author bio.

Building links with relevant websites is crucial, as the relevancy of links can provide greater value and aid in the ranking of content. Guest posts and niche edits can offer powerful backlinks by incorporating your link to existing content, thereby boosting your website’s domain authority and relevance.

Assessing the Value of Backlinks: Quality vs. Quantity

When it comes to investing in backlinks, it’s essential to concentrate on quality rather than quantity. A survey of over 800 SEO professionals, including those working at link-building agencies, revealed that the quality of backlinks is the most significant factor.

John Mueller of Google has also asserted that high-quality backlinks, not paid links, are one of the most crucial ranking factors.

Investing in high-quality backlinks rather than trying to buy backlinks of low quality provides more effective and sustainable results in the long term.

Low-quality links may be cheaper, but they can also be detrimental to your website’s performance and reputation. In contrast, high-quality links can boost your website’s domain authority, increase organic traffic, and improve search engine rankings.

Calculating the return on investment (ROI) is essential in assessing the profitability of any marketing campaign, investment, or business decision, including the cost of buying backlinks.

By focusing on the quality of backlinks, you can ensure that your investments yield the best possible results for your website.

Remember that the goal is not to acquire as many backlinks as possible, but rather to build a strong and diverse backlink profile that will drive long-term success. In this regard, it’s better to have fewer high-quality links than a large number of low-quality ones.

Are backlinks expensive?

Backlinks are 241% more expensive to acquire than in 2021.

The huge increase in prices for backlinks is due to higher demand from SEO specialists.

As the outreach increases the blog owners are able to raise the price for a link.

The higher the domain rating (DR in ahrefs), the more expensive the backlinks cost to purchase.

Why Have Backlinks Increased 241% In Price?

The costs to acquire backlinks have increased by 241% because of the following:

  • Website owners become savvy to charging more money
  • Higher demand to sell link placements on sites
  • Business owners educated on the importance of page rank
  • SEO case studies show link building as the main ranking factor
  • Ease for blog owners to see rates link-building agencies charge

The 241% increase was carried out from studying 500,000 backlinks placed in the past 3 years and comparing the rates year on year.

Will Backlinks Continue To Become More Expensive?

As the demand increases, the rates increase and are more expensive.

But from speaking to industry leaders in the SEO industry the estimates are the prices will drop next year.

The backlinks will fall in price because of the following reasons:

  • AI content will help keep costs down
  • AI’s ability to build PBNs faster
  • More focus on PR
  • More competition for selling links
  • Topical authority grows to be the number one ranking factor

As more case studies are showing semantic SEO to be more important the desire to purchase expensive backlinks will shift.

How Do You Value A Backlink?

Here are the main factors to value a backlink:

The best metric to value a backlink is a combination of all the scores above.

DR and DA can easily be manipulated so when valuing links an holistic approach to all the metrics is important.

What Makes a Backlink Valuable?

Backlinks are used by Google as a ranking signal to highlight your website content is valuable and trustworthy.

The most valuable backlinks are those editorially placed in the main body of the content.

Backlinks improve your organic search rankings because they pass authoritativeness (page rank) and votes of confidence (trust) from other websites.

SEO recently voted backlinks as the most valuable ranking signal to rank for search terms in Google search results.

Which backlinks are more valuable?

Here are the signals for the most valuable backlinks:

  • Backlinks from Trusted and Authoritative Websites
  • Anchor Text Includes Your Target Keywords
  • A Relevant Site
  • It is a “Dofollow” Link
  • Links From a Domain That Hasn’t Previously Linked to You
  • The link is placed higher up on the page
  • The referral page has backlinks (tier 2s) pointing to that

Cheaper Link Building Strategies

Some SEO beginners have small budgets and try to purchase cheaper backlinks online.

The cheaper link-building methods generally cause a Google Link Building Penalty and end up needing a disavow service being carried out by specialists like Backlink Doctor.

Here are the costs of cheaper link building strategies:

  • Web2 Links – Free No-follow Backlinks from sites like Blogspot and Tumblr
  • Blog Comments – Free No-follow Backlinks by commenting on blogs
  • Directories – $1 per listing no follow links that work nicely for local rankings as include NAP
  • Link Exchange – A webmaster allows you to get a backlink to your site in exchange of a backlink from your site
  • Broken Link Building – Search for dead links and outreach to replace the dead anchor text to your related post
  • PBNs – Rental of private blog network links cost on average $25 per month for homepage rentals
  • Press Releases – A press release distribution costs approx $250 but gets over 300 backlinks so less than $1 per backlink

Backlink Survey Costs

From our research here is the analysis of the surveys carried out on link-building costs:

  • DR30 guest posts have risen from $30 to $91 on average
  • DR45 guest posts have risen from $50 to $157 on average
  • DR60 guest posts have risen from $80 to $193 on average
  • Niche Edits have increased from $25 to $82 on average
  • Tier 2’s average cost has increased from $20 to $47

The average costs showed a huge 241% increase in price for purchasing backlinks.

Link Building Strategies: In-House vs. Agency

Choosing between in-house and agency link building strategies can be a difficult decision. Both options come with their own set of pros and cons, making it crucial to weigh them carefully before deciding on the best approach for your business.

In-house link building offers cost efficiency and oversight, but it can be challenging to expand and requires a higher level of expertise.

On the other hand, a link building agency is more costly but can be scaled rapidly and provides access to a wider network of contacts.

Employing link building services such as uSERP has the advantage of already established connections, allowing them to quickly generate content and acquire high Domain Rating backlinks.

Ultimately, the most suitable option for any given situation will depend on the particular needs of the business when it comes to building links. It’s essential to consider factors such as budget, expertise, scalability, and the specific goals of your link building campaign before making a decision.

The Process of Buying Backlinks: Tips for Success

The process of buying links involves exchanging money, products, or services for a link from another website.

To ensure a successful link building campaign, it’s essential to follow the proper procedure for purchasing backlinks, including researching link vendors, assessing link vendors, avoiding common mistakes, and confirming adherence to Google’s standards.

Being aware of the potential risks and rewards of purchasing backlinks can help you make informed decisions and avoid pitfalls.

Evaluating Link Providers

When assessing link providers, it’s vital to consider factors such as relevance, human value, authority, trust, credibility, content, disclosure, and high-quality links.

To gauge the credibility of a link building agency, look for customer reviews, industry awards, and the provider’s track record.

When assessing link quality, consider the relevance of the link to the content, the authority of the linking domain, and the trustworthiness of the linking website.

Additionally, take into account the quality of the links, the quantity of links provided, and the cost per link when assessing the link building pricing of link providers.

Avoiding Common Pitfalls

Purchasing low-quality paid links poses several risks, including the possibility of engaging in black hat link building practices and being penalized by Google for violating their guidelines.

Acquiring low-quality backlinks will not yield any significant results, thus resulting in a financial loss.

To avoid these pitfalls, focus on acquiring high-quality backlinks from reputable providers, and ensure that your link building efforts adhere to Google’s guidelines.

By carefully assessing link providers, avoiding common mistakes, and ensuring compliance with Google’s standards, you can successfully navigate the process of buying backlinks and build a robust backlink profile that drives long-term success.

Summary

Understanding backlink costs is essential for the success of your website.

By considering factors such as domain authority, relevance, niche, and content quality, you can make informed decisions when acquiring backlinks for your website.

Remember to focus on quality over quantity and choose the appropriate link-building strategy, whether in-house or agency-based, to suit your specific needs.

We strongly advise avoiding poor-quality links because you run the risk of getting penalized by Google.

Avoid spammy outbound links and vary the anchor texts for all backlinks placed.

Explore alternative link building methods, such as guest posts and sponsored content, and learn from real-life examples of successful link building campaigns. By following these guidelines, you can build a strong and diverse backlink profile that drives long-term success for your website.

Buying backlinks can positively impact your rankings in search engines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are backlinks expensive?

Backlinks can range in cost depending on various factors such as website type, niche, content quality, link quality, brand strength, and agency costs.

Generally, the higher the domain authority, the more expensive the backlinks will be, with prices ranging from $50 to $2500 per link.

The cost of a specific link can also depend on other factors, with average prices hovering around $300 to $500 per month.

How Many Backlinks Should I Get Each Month?

In general, 5-10 backlinks per month is a good rule of thumb, however, it can vary depending on the size and type of SEO you are doing.

Between 0 and 500 backlinks per month is a reasonable promise to make to your client.

What factors influence the cost of backlinks?

The cost of backlinks is determined by domain authority, relevance to the topic, the niche, and the quality of the content.

Is it better to focus on quality or quantity when investing in backlinks?

Focusing on quality over quantity is essential when investing in backlinks, as high-quality links will bring better results in the long run.

Link building is an important part of SEO, and it’s important to make sure that the links you are investing in are of the highest quality.

Quality links will help improve your website’s ranking and visibility in search engine results.

What are the pros and cons of in-house and agency link-building strategies?

In-house link building can offer cost efficiency and greater oversight but can be challenging to expand and requires a higher level of expertise.

Agency link building, on the other hand, is more costly but can be scaled rapidly and provides access to a wider network of contacts.

Backlinks are used by Google to decide if a site should rank high in the search engines.

The links act as a vote and sites that have more quality links are thought of more highly as building authority and trust with Google.

Therefore the more quality backlinks pointing to your web page, the more likely to get a coveted first-page rank.

But backlinks can be lost or deleted as domains expire or large publishing prune older content.

Many SEOs thought that once the hyperlinks were gone, so too the power that they gave also went.

But from vigorous testing, it is not what you would predict – as the link echo effect keeps web pages ranking until the next big algorithm update (which can be months later).

In our guide to the ghosting effect of backlinks, we provide evidence web pages retain their ranking value after backlinks are removed which means that even temporary links with a link echo effect can help boost your rankings in the search engine results pages long term.

What Are Ghost Links?

Ghost links are backlinks that no longer link to your site, but still pass power historically through Google. This is often referred to as the “echoing effect” or “ghosting effect, and is often discussed by those in the SEO and digital marketing industry.

The importance of ghost links are therefore overlooked by many, but are they as effective as what people say?

Do Ghost Links Work?

Ghost links do work, based off of the extensive link tests carried out by many marketers across the world.

There has been countless case studies on ghost links (sometimes known as link echoes), highlighting that many of the rankings they’d achieved from links had stayed put even long after the link had dropped off.

And based on our own experience, we’ve found links that we’d built continue to have a “ghosting effect” long after the link had been removed.

Why Rankings Remain Even After Links Disappear?

It’s believed that rankings remain after links disappear because of Google’s algorithm continuing to provide value to a site from its link even though the link has long been removed.

Links that are from a powerful domain, get genuine traffic and impressions and aren’t toxic can have a wonderful effect on anyone’s site, and are seen as the holy grail in terms of backlink quality.

So even when a link like this is lost, it’s believed that these types of links can have a longstanding effect site-wide.

Here is a great video from Rand Fishkin from Moz many years ago first explaining link echoes:

Although the video is over a decade old the principals still remain in July 2023.

As opposed to just doing a single link test, Rand ensured he looked at multiple links in his testing, and found that ghost links do seem to in fact still carry the power through.

If anything, we’re seeing more and more studies about link ghosts in 2023 than ever, highlighting just how overlooked this has bee for marketers everywhere.

Here’s some of the other reasons why rankings may remain after links pointed to you are lost:

Your Website Quality

In some cases, the quality of your website itself may be the main determining factor as to why rankings have not budged.

For example, if your site naturally has considerably more authority in the SERPs than your competition, and if you are seen as one of the authority websites in the search engines, you should find that your site continues to rank well despite the odd dropped link.

The SERP Itself

Additionally, if the SERP itself is a good parameter of why you may be continuing to rank even after links are lost, because in some easier search engine results pages, backlinks may not even be required to beat out the top spot.

If you continue to rank after a links disappeared but for a not very competitive keywords, it’s likely that this is simply as a result the weak SERP.

The search engines therefore are a great way of checking if you’re only ranking due to how easy the SERP is, as opposed to any link echoes.

This is applicable to other search engines other than Google, too.

Leveraging Ghost Links With Backlink Rotation

Another technique worth mentioning is leveraging ghost links with backlink rotation.

Funnily enough, this is actually how we initially came to see the value of ghost links firsthand.

Here are the steps on how to setup the backlink rotation URL:

  1. Create an amazing article on a subject related to your niche
  2. Purchase guest posts and niche edits to power up the URL
  3. As it ages, build more links (SAPE, PBNs, and 301 redirects)
  4. Now you have a powerful URL ready for link rotation

Google loves the freshness of content and new articles in the SERP that are newsworthy on upcoming topics or trends.

Create a new article on a highly authoritative domain like newsdirect or outlookindia to leverage the power of the domain.

Here are the steps on how to leverage backlink rotators:

  1. Now your news article on the parasite website has been created
  2. Redirect your backlink rotation URL to the fresh new article
  3. All the link juice filters through to the new article and sees amazing results in the SERP
  4. Send Engagement Signals from Signal Boy to the new article on the parasite domain
  5. Send Engagement Signals from Signal Boy to the aged 301 redirect URL
  6. The power of the backlinks, the freshness of content and engagement sends signals the post has gone viral on Google

Your powerful URL that has power, age, and historical data can now be rotated to the latest parasite articles.

How Does Backlink Rotation Lead to The Ghosting Effect?

With this process, the idea is to only redirect your URL to the article you want to rank whilst people are interested in the news or event you’re promoting. By doing this, the article will have more chance of generating the traffic you want it to.

Once your event has finished though, it’s likely that significantly less people will be interested in your trending topic. As a result, it’s best to then swap the 301 to a new newsworthy or trending article to push the power elsewhere.

When we carried this technique out, we found that our original article STILL ranked highly and generated traffic for 6-12 months the 301 was changed, highlighting that the ghosting effect had certainly continued positively influencing the rankings.

The Risks of Ghost Links

Whilst it’s all well and good discussing the positive factors of ghost links (sometimes referred to as link ghosts), it’s always worth discussing why ghost links may not be something to be striving for across the entirety of your site.

As many of us know, link loss across the board isn’t a great signal to be shouting out to Google.

With ghost links essentially being lost links, the odd few is fine, but what you don’t want to be doing is resting on your laurels and allowing all of your links to be removed, and hoping for the ghosting effect.

Despite this, the studies suggest that the odd link that’s lost can still carry it’s power long after it’s removed, so just keep an eye on your backlink profile and don’t allow too many links to slip away all at once.

Does Link Loss Always Still Pass Link Juice?

Link loss does not always still pass link juice for several reasons.

Firstly, you may find that the link you had previously had a lot of power, but was from a spammy website.

In this case, you might even find that that link was having a detrimental effect on your website on a whole, and ironically, the link being lost has given improved the site in general.

Additionally, links that have no power to being with won’t be passing any regardless.

Generally speaking, only the higher quality links will continue to pass any link juice once they’re lost, and as a result help you to sustain rankings in the search engine results pages.

Ghost Links vs Backlinks

It’s worth mentioning that whilst links can still pass power even once the link is removed, it’s much better to not have the link removed in the first place.

In any case, it’s better to have 10 high quality links that are still visible to Google, than it is to have had 10 high quality links that are now removed.

Despite this, the studies around ghost links suggest that individuals shouldn’t be as concerned with the odd lost link as they may have been in the past, however if you find yourself in a position of mass link loss, then it’s a different story.

As a result, regularly monitor your backlink profile, and if you do find yourself in a situation where you have lost a large quantity of links, it may be best to look to acquire some fresh relevant links from a professional such asSearcharoo.

Companies like this can help with link reclamation, and ensure you build up your backlink profile with high quality, relevant backlinks.

Summary

So to summarise, ghost links (or backlink echoes) certainly are a factor worth considering when analysing both your backlink profile and rankings, as links of a certain calibre can do much more than you think for your website, even when that link no longer exists.

At the end of the day, Google is trying to judge websites based on how reliable they are about a certain product, service or topic, as well as how much authority they have in their particular niche.

Having a backlink from a trusted, reliable and powerful source pointing to your site for an extended period of time is a serious sign to Google that you should be taken seriously, and it seems increasingly likely that these links continue to have a significant effect even after they drop off.

The RankJacking SEO Hack is of very few strategies that allow you to Get More Organic Traffic within 24 hours.

If you have been in the SEO industry for over a decade you will continuously say “It’s not like the good old days when you just built backlinks to a web page and it would rank at the top of Google”.

In May 2024 there are very few shortcuts or SEO hacks left to achieve long-term rankings.

We use a dozen advanced SEO strategies that have never been shared publicly because the minute they are released the SEO speakers (who rarely test nowadays on the speaking circuit) include them in their slides and Google quickly patch the hack.

But I am going to release one strategy, which is publicly known nowadays with Brian Dean and Ryan Stewart mentioning it.

This is called the “RANK HIJACKING SEO STRATEGY”.

What is the RankJacking SEO Strategy?

The RankJacking SEO Strategy is an advanced version of link building.

Traditional white hat link building (nothing is truly white hat) is outreaching out to blog owners to pitch them an idea in return for a do-follow backlink. The do follow backlink passes link juice in the hope it will help your web page rank higher in Google Search Results.

The RankJacking SEO hack is changing the pitch on the outreach process to appeal to the writer by saying “You love their writing style” and want to physically buy their article for a nice fee.

RankJacking is essentially buying a web page on a different website and 301ing it over to your site. It is similar to my 301 Domain Acquisition Method I shared a few years ago, but this is specifically targeting 301’s at a page level.

Rank Jacking Explained Video

Hopefully, Rank Jacking should sound like an amazing SEO tactic to you.

If so, I implore you to watch the video below to find out more about the method!

We have condensed all of the important information regarding 301 Rank Jacking into 2 minutes for your viewing pleasure!

RankJacking Vs Link Building

The main difference between RankJacking and Link Building is if you purchase the article from the website and 301 the URL to your website, you are receiving so much more in terms of power.

The added benefits of RankJacking in comparison to Link Building are:

  • You get the full-page link juice power (not just a single link which could be shared with others)
  • The 301 passes the existing ranking (if you choose a page ranked #1 it passes those rankings)
  • The 301 passes the age of the URL (if ranking high it will be trusted)
  • The 301 passes all previous traffic and social engagement

Within 24 hours of the web page being recrawled the keywords can be ranked on your website and all the engagement, link juice and rankings passed through.

When Can You Use The RankJacking SEO Hack?

Here are examples of when you can utilise the RankJacking SEO Hack:

  • When you see an existing page ranking for the keywords you want to rank
  • When you see content perfectly optimised delivering the message you want
  • When you want to buy a trusted page that already has links, traffic and engagement
  • When you need fast results and rankings in under one week
  • When you want to transfer authority and existing rankings

When you are pitching to sites ranking for the keywords you want to rank for you need to be careful you don’t outreach to your direct competitors or might need deep pockets to pay for the page-level redirect.

How To Pitch Buying The Page?

The outreach pitch is important to get a successful response.

Here is the email pitch we use that has been fine-tuned and developed over many years.

Hey {Name},

Do you write content for other websites?

I have come across your content here {PAGE YOU WANT TO BUY} and love your writing style.

As an amazing content writer, I fully understand you will charge a premium and am happy to pay this because your copywriting skills are the best I have seen in the market.

If you are busy as an alternative business strategy, would you be open to selling {the PAGE YOU WANT TO BUY} you have already written?

As this page is the EXACT article I need to publish for my followers on social media. Wanted to check if you are open to the idea of selling this content as I could republish on my site.

Would love your feedback.

Thanks

{Outreach Name}

This pitch above has been edited over the years a dozen times and we found using the positive sentiment terms like “love your writing style”, “amazing content writer” and “charge a premium and happy to pay this” dramatically increased the response rate.

Do 301s Actually Work?

301 redirects work amazing for SEO if you specifically line up relevance and understand the logic behind the redirect being placed.

301s in the SEO industry is certainly NOT a new concept and has been around forever.

Anyone hanging around in the domain aftermarket groups will see 301 redirects are a core part of their SEO strategy.

The problem is over the years I have preached about purchasing domains from places like ODYS providing great non-dropped domains to get a headstart on a new affiliate site or buying a domain to fully redirect to your existing site to pass the equity over.

But many are lazy and blanket 301ing the domain to the homepage.

The key to a successful 301 to work is lining up the relevance.

This is where the RANK HIJACKING 301 SEO STRATEGY at the page level is much safer to carry out for many search engine optimisation specialists.

Why Does the RankJacking SEO Hack Work So Well?

The 301 redirect is a message to Google saying this content you love is now permanently being moved here.

So please Mr Google transfer all the equity, trust and authority from the web page and move this over.

A backlink on a page is a small part of the page and the HTML href link does not pass anywhere near the same power as a permanent 301 status code redirect.

The permanent 301 status code passes power, trust, relevance, all the aged engagement signals and more importantly the existing rankings the URL currently has.

Rank Jacking Case Studies

Here are a couple of case studies showing how well Rank Jacking still works in 2024.

541% in Organic Clicks

The rank-jacking case study shows an impressive 541% increase in organic clicks to our website within one week.

The graph shows the clicks growth from 5696 daily clicks to 36,539 daily clicks.

RANK HIJACKING SEO 301 ACQUISITION STRATEGY

The existing web page we had on the topic was ranking on average in position 6 on page one of Google SERP.

As we were already ranking high the page was getting over 5k clicks daily, but no amount of backlinks or topical authority was helping us get to the top of Google.

In my opinion, some keywords are very hard to break into the top 3 when existing web pages have age and a lot of positive behavioural signals.

So I needed to do something BIG and try to purchase the page already ranking – knowing it would pass the age, trust and signals through.

This term is one of the most competitive terms and earns thousands per day, so I was thinking it could cost over £100,000 big to get this deal completed.

Here are the steps we made on the RankJacking Investment SEO Strategy to fast-track position one ranking:

  1. Find the blog owner’s details to outreach directly to
  2. Set a budget (mine was £60k, which was calculated as two months’ potential earnings)
  3. Outreach using the email template
  4. Build a relationship with the author of the page
  5. We managed to negotiate a fee of just £6,000 to use his content and 301 status code redirect to our website
  6. We ran a social media engagement campaign from signal boy to both URLs (to get them recrawled)

The results were unreal and within 6 days we had achieved over 5x growth in clicks.

This deal was 10x cheaper than I was willing to pay and I managed to get this over the line for so cheap because the blog owner wanted some help with a CRO service, EEAT audit and backlink disavow so we threw those in with the price to carry out for free.

The fun part of this case study is the work we carried out for the website owner helped him to grow his website organically and within 3 months he was earning more money than previously selling the web page also. So was a nice WIN-WIN agreement.

2580% in Organic Clicks

The rank-jacking case study shows a huge 2580% increase in organic clicks to our website within one week.

The graph shows the clicks growth from 119 daily clicks to 3190 daily clicks.

RANK JACKING 301 ACQUISITON SEO STRATEGY

So let’s dive in and understand the project and why we decided to use the RankJacking SEO Strategy.

Here are the following steps we had taken previously to try and rank the web page for the focus keywords.

So maybe I was being impatient because carrying out the above got my rankings from nowhere to be seen up to position 13 on page two of Google (but no one looks on page two).

Every day that went by and I was not ranking number one was costing me approximately £100 a day (£36,500 a year).

So as an investorpreneur I love to invest in digital assets and am constantly looking to roll up investments with bolt-on acquisition strategies.

Steps Taken To Get Position One Rankings

Here are the steps we made on the RankJacking Investment SEO Strategy to fast-track position one ranking:

  1. Keyword Research to find the best page on the focus keyword (ranking number one)
  2. Set a budget (mine was £18k, which was calculated as six months’ potential earnings)
  3. Outreach using the email template
  4. Build a relationship with the author of the page
  5. We managed to negotiate a fee of just £700 to use his content and 301 status code redirect to our website
  6. We ran a social media engagement campaign from signal boy to both URLs (to get them recrawled)

The results were instant and we achieved position-one rankings within 24 hours for many keywords.

It is worth noting the secondary keywords started to drop in around 3-4 days later.

But within one week we achieved our goal and the singular web page grew 2580% in Organic Clicks.

Within a fortnight we had made enough commission to cover the costs and it was certainly an amazing investment.

Summary

There are very few search engine optimisation hacks working so well in today’s algorithms.

The RankJacking SEO Strategy can return results the same day if Google crawls the page and I only know of two other advanced strategies (which cannot disclose) which provide similar types of results.

The Rank Jacking case studies show the growth and speed with which this strategy works.

Our growth by investments using the “RANK HIJACKING SEO STRATEGY” is something that has shown huge uplifts and a positive ROI very quickly.

Brand jacking is a clever marketing technique used by many of the top online reputation management businesses, designed to help improve a website’s position online, and  is also commonly used as a crisis management tool.

In this article, we’ll discuss what bran jacking is, and how it is used as an effective growth hacking technique for businesses across the world.

What is Brand Jacking?

Brand jacking is a marketing technique in which a company piggybacks off of the popularity and reputation of another brand to promote its own products or services.

It involves creating content or campaigns that capitalise on the attention and audience of a well-known brand to attract customers to their own brand.

This strategy can be used to gain exposure and generate attention for a brand without the need for large advertising budgets. However, it can also be a risky tactic if executed poorly, as it can damage the reputation of the brand being jacked and lead to legal action.

To be effective, brand jacking requires a careful understanding of the target audience and a creative approach to stand out from competitors.

How to Make The Most of Your Brand Jacking Strategy

When done correctly, brand jacking can be a powerful tool for driving engagement and boosting brand awareness.

In this section, we’ll discuss some tips on how to make the most of your brand jacking strategy:

Choose your target wisely

The first step to a successful brand jacking strategy is to choose the right target. You want to pick a well-known brand that has a large following and a strong online presence.

However, it’s important to be respectful and not attack or insult the brand in any way. Instead, find a way to align your brand message with theirs and use it to promote your own products or services.

Be timely and relevant

Brand jacking works best when it’s timely and relevant. Keep an eye on current events and popular culture, and find ways to tie your brand message into what’s happening in the world.

This will help you stay top of mind with consumers and increase the chances of your brand jacking efforts being noticed and shared.

Be creative and engaging

In order to stand out from the crowd, your brand jacking efforts need to be creative and engaging.

Use humour, memes, and other tactics to grab the attention of your target audience and make them want to learn more about your brand. The key is to be memorable and make a lasting impression on consumers.

Use social media to amplify your message

Social media is the perfect platform for brand jacking. Use hashtags and mentions to tie your brand message to the well-known brand you’re targeting, and use social media advertising to reach a wider audience.

Make sure your social media posts are visually appealing and include a clear call-to-action to encourage engagement and drive traffic to your website.

Monitor and measure your results

Finally, it’s important to monitor and measure the results of your brandjacking efforts. Use analytics tools to track engagement, clicks, and conversions, and adjust your strategy accordingly.

Keep in mind that brand jacking can be a double-edged sword, so it’s important to be careful and respectful in your approach.

Here are all of the best brand jacking agencies:

They also have a strong understanding of how to effectively use social media and other digital channels to distribute content and develop excitement around a brand jacking campaign.

Why Should You Consider Brand jacking?

Brand jacking can be an effective marketing strategy for businesses to gain attention and visibility in a crowded market.

By piggybacking on a popular brand or event, businesses can tap into the audience and engagement that the established brand has already built.

This can lead to increased brand awareness, social media mentions, and potentially even sales. Additionally, brandjacking can be a cost-effective way to create interest in a brand without the need for expensive advertising campaigns.

However, it’s important to approach brand jacking with caution and respect for the original brand to avoid any negative backlash or legal issues.

Despite the potential risks, brand jacking can be a creative and fun way for businesses to stand out from the competition and grab the attention of their target audience.

By carefully selecting the brands and events to piggyback on and executing the strategy with creativity and originality, businesses can generate positive buzz and engagement.

Ultimately, brand jacking should be seen as a tool in a wider marketing strategy rather than a standalone tactic, and should be approached with a clear understanding of the target audience and brand identity.

How do you use Brand Jacking effectively for Digital PR?

The first step for how to use brand jacking effectively for Digital PR is to identify the target brand and determine if it aligns with your own brand and messaging.

The content should be relevant and engaging, and ideally, tie into current events or trends to increase its viral potential.

It’s essential to avoid crossing any ethical or legal lines, such as defaming the brand or misleading consumers.

Once you’ve created the content, the next step is to distribute it through various channels, including social media, news outlets, tier 2 backlinks and influencers.

Social media shares are particularly effective for brand jacking because it allows for quick and easy sharing, and content can quickly go viral.

To maximise exposure, consider partnering with influencers or collaborating with other brands that share your target audience.

Alternatively, some have even been known to carry out CTR boosts to achieve this, however understandably some aren’t keen on this process.

How to Start Brand Jacking

Before jumping into brand jacking, it is important to research the potential risks and benefits.

Once you have a solid understanding of what brand jacking entails, you can start by identifying opportunities to join in on trending conversations or topics related to your brand or industry.

This can be done by monitoring social media channels, news outlets, and other relevant sources.

Once you have identified an opportunity to brand jack, it is important to create content that is relevant and adds value to the conversation.

This could involve creating a blog post, social media post, or video that leverages the trending topic or conversation. It is important to avoid coming across as opportunistic or insincere in your messaging.

The goal should be to add value to the conversation while also promoting your brand in a positive light.

By approaching brand jacking in a strategic and thoughtful manner, it is possible to build brand awareness and drive engagement in a cost-effective way.

Is Brand Jacking Ethical?

Brand jacking can be a controversial strategy as it involves piggybacking off the reputation and popularity of another brand.

Some may argue that it is unethical because it can be seen as taking advantage of another brand’s success and potentially damaging their reputation.

However, when done correctly, brand jacking can be a creative and effective way to generate attention and increase brand awareness. It can also be seen as a form of harmless parody or satire, which is protected by free speech laws in many countries.

It is important to consider ethical concerns when implementing a brand jacking strategy.

It’s therefore crucial to avoid using false or misleading information that may harm the original brand’s reputation.

Additionally, it is important to stay within the boundaries of fair use and avoid infringing on any trademarks or copyrights.

It is always a good idea to consult with legal experts before launching a brand jacking campaign to ensure that it is ethical and legally sound.

Is Brand Jacking more effective than standard advertising?

It is difficult to make a definitive statement about whether brand jacking is more effective than standard advertising, as both strategies have their own advantages and drawbacks.

Brand jacking can be effective in generating attention for a brand, as it leverages current events or popular culture to create a connection between the brand and the topic at hand.

It can also be more cost-effective than traditional advertising, as it relies on creativity and ingenuity rather than paid placements. However, brand jacking can also be risky and may damage a brand’s reputation if done in poor taste or without proper consideration.

Standard advertising, on the other hand, offers more control over the messaging and brand image, but can be more expensive and may not always capture the attention of the target audience.

Ultimately, the effectiveness of each strategy depends on the specific goals and circumstances of the brand.
